DAKHLA ATLANTIC PORT

Challenges :

The creation of a new port on the Atlantic coast, Dakhla Atlantic, would serve both geostrategic objectives, regional development goals, and specific objectives for the fishing sector.

The project is located in NTIREFT, 40 km north of the city of Dakhla, within the rural commune of El Argoub.

Scope :

  • Construction of 675 meters of quays at -16m, a service quay, a RoRo terminal, and fuel berths
  • Construction of 1.6 km of fishing quays at -12m and 200m of quays for ship repairs
  • Conducting sedimentological studies to define an optimal master plan due to sedimentation risks at the project site
  • Review and validation of the execution studies prepared by the contractor
