15 November 2023

Following an invitation to tender issued by the Port Autonome de Cotonou, TME was appointed to manage the project and monitor the work to extend the port basin of the Port Autonome de Cotonou. TME has set up a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to monitor and control the works throughout the construction period. The project involves extending the basin by 154 m to the west, renovating 1,400 m of existing quays to the north and dredging the basin at the north quay to a depth of -15 to -16 meters. The main objective of the Port Authority of the Autonomous Port of Cotonou is to develop the port infrastructure needed to accommodate newgeneration ships and container vessels measuring over 300 meters in length and with a draught of over 15 meters. The project will also increase the capacity of the port's container terminals, enhancing its position as a regional hub in West and Central Africa.
