Challenges :

Aiming to boost the competitiveness of the Port of Abidjan and reestablish its position among the leading ports on the West African coast, the Abidjan port authority has decided to develop its oil berths to support traffic growth and regain the confidence of maritime and port stakeholders.

Missions :

  • Development of a master plan for an oil berth at the Port of Abidjan
  • Execution of maneuverability studies to validate the master plan in terms of navigational safety
  • Execution of station-keeping studies to determine the optimal mooring configuration for project vessels
  • Definition of operability limits for berthing (wind, currents, tides)
  • Detailed design of berthing structures (dolphins) and quay equipment (fenders, bollards)
